Founded in 1954, the Concord Cooperative Playschool was established to provide a positive preschool experience for children ages 3 to 5 and their families. The Playschool maintains the same focus today, while implementing developmentally appropriate practices. Currently we offer a multi-age program which meets 3 days Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, 9 am-11:30 am running from September to May.
The children participate in a variety of activities to foster children’s natural curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. Concord Cooperative Playschool strives to enhance children’s understanding while focusing on amplifying the playschoolers’ areas of development. Concord Cooperative Playschool actively integrates parents into the preschool program and gives them a unique view of their child’s early childhood education.
As a cooperative member, each child's parent(s) will have opportunities to work alongside the teacher in the classroom. Through this involvement, parents have a firsthand view of their child's education. Members are given a voice in the operation of the school by attending monthly member meetings, participating in fundraising and assisting in other school functions.
